Please read the following before completing a credential test:

  • NASFAA encourages you to study the corresponding self-study guide or participate in the corresponding online course prior to taking a test.
  • If you are taking the test based on your experience, you are required to provide a resume showing 5 years of experience prior to taking a test, send resumes to credential@nasfaa.org.
  • Please note, Google Chrome is recommended for all test taking and test review. 

Information regarding the credential tests:

  • Your 90 minute test does not begin until you press the start button for the corresponding test.
  • Most tests contain a total of 40 questions which include scenario-based questions near the end of the test.
  • You will have two attempts to pass - if you do not pass the first attempt a second attempt will immediately become available to you under Available Exams.
  • If you pass a credential test you will have the option to print your credential certificate at the end of your test, or you may request NASFAA mail you a copy at the end of your test. 
  • You may review your test (the items answered correctly or incorrectly) by pressing Submitted Exams and reviewing your individual completed tests. 

Information regarding the pre-tests:

  • Your 20 minute test does not begin until you press the start button for the corresponding test.
  • Each test consists of 10 questions total worth 10 points each and is based on a 100 point scale.
  • The passing score is 90% and you will have as many attempts to pass as needed.
  • If you do not pass the first attempt additional attempts will immediately become available.
  • You may review your test (the items answered correctly or incorrectly) by pressing Submitted Exams and reviewing your individual completed tests. 
  • NASFAA does not offer a credential on any of the pre-tests, they are offered for your own testing experience.
